Updated September 14th, 2024, from my home in Barcelona, where it’s the start of Autumn, my favorite season.

Return to work & school

Holidays are over, and it’s back-to-school season. I noticed discounts on many services, and I understand how they make sense, as I feel a bit like it's New Year. Starting over. And thus, perhaps, it’s time to buy into that book summary service I’ve been eyeing, etc.

At work, the focus is to get on our feet technically and financially. It can be done within the trimester. And if we get there, we’ll be set, possibly, for the next few years.

Transition to Essentialism

I’ve been obsessed with a book that, like Rich Dad Poor Dad or The 4-Hour Workweek, will determine my next few years, or more. Its Essentialism. One of those life-changing books. From my notes on the book:

Essentialism is the relentless, disciplined pursuit of less but better. Not for the sake of fewer things but to invest the most in the right things: where our highest point of contribution lies.

I am taking this September to start narrowing my focus (by finishing or closing things).

Transition to the Blueprint Diet

I’ve been doing keto for about a decade. The idea, back then, was to eat in the best possible way to reduce inflammation and avoid sickness. The rationale behind this diet choice is that there are four major categories when it comes to human health: hereditary factors, external factors, lifestyle choices, and aging. Of these, I used to believe lifestyle choices was the only category where we could make changes. And within lifestyle’s diet, insulin control is one of the vital elements to avoid disease. Thus I did keto, which dramatically lowers carbs.

Anyhow, moving forward in terms of diet, I am focusing on aging, something I believed to be universal and inevitable in its pace. Perhaps it can be slowed. And for this, the Blueprint Diet is the open-source, scientifically grounded diet of choice.
